Have you seen Patrick Johnson? He is wanted for the murder of Henry Strickland and gun shot wounds to a 34-year-old woman.

According to St. John Parish Deputies, officers responded to a reported shooting on Bailey Lane in Edgard Friday morning around 12:18 a.m.

Managers of the Hot Spot Lounge called 911 to report gun shots in the club.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found two victims suffering from gun shot wounds. The victims were a 35-year-old Hahnville man and a 34-year-old Edgard woman.

Both victims were transported to St. James Hospital. The woman was treated for gun shot wounds to the thigh and is listed in stable condition. The male victim was identified as Henry Strickland, of Hahnville, had gun shot wounds in the abdomen and shoulder, and was transferred to University Hospital in New Orleans where he died around 7:20 a.m. Friday morning.

St. John Parish Detectives believe Patrick Johnson was involved in a physical altercation with the victim’s brother.  As Strickland attempted to stop the altercation, Johnson pulled a handgun and fired shots fatally wounding Strickland and hitting a 34 year old female in the leg.
