It doesn't bode well for the Hornets if there is a playoff rematch.

Kobe Bryant scored 30 points, the Lakers led by 11 after one quarter, and cruised to a 102-84 win over New Orleans Sunday night at Staples Center.

The Lakers won all 4 meetings against the Hornets this season. If the season ended tonight, 7th seed New Orleans and 2nd seed Los Angeles would meet in a first round Western Conference playoff series.

Carl Landry led the Hornets with a season high 24 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lakers are now 53-20 after winning their 15th game in the last 16 tries. The Hornets fell to 42-32 on the season.

New Orleans hosts Portland Wednesday night at New Orleans Arena.
