Hornets move to 2-0 with win over Nuggets

The Hornets remain undefeated under head coach Monty Williams.

Chris Paul scored 10 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Hornets beat Denver 101-95 Friday night at New Orleans Arena.

The Hornets, 2-0, were 10 for 10 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. The Nuggets have been a thorn in the Hornets side. Two years ago, the Nuggets embarrassed the Hornets in 5 games in the a first round Western Conference playoff series. The series included a 58 point loss at home to Denver.

David West scored 17 points. Emeka Okafor had 13 points, and 8 rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony, subject of trade rumors, led Denver with 24 points. Chauncey Billups scored 20.
