What a weekend!

Hard to top New Orleans this weekend. Not only are we the hosting the world's best golfers, but we're also hosting the worlds best musicians, too. Plus it's ground zero for the best festival food on the planet. No corn dogs and spiral cakes here. And who else gives over $1 million to kids charities?

I'm talking about the mega-events weekend here in New Orleans. The 2012 Zurich classic cranked up yesterday at the TPC golf course across the Huey P Long bridge on the westbank. The field is one of the strongest in years.  Masters champion Bubba Watson is back in New Orleans defending his crown.

On Sunday afternoon in front of a national TV audience, not only will the Fore Kids foundation give a $1 million check to the winner of the tournament, but they'll also give a million dollar check to local kids charities.

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival opened their doors this morning for day 1 of 7 over the next two weekends.

Not only are the the worlds best musicians here but so are some of the best vendors for festival food.  From the couchon de lais po boy to too many Louisiana crawfish dishes to name, the food at Jazz Fest is nothing short of amazing.

Great golf, great music, great food. And thanks to the weather gods, some really comfortable temperatures and lower than normal humidity. It really is hard to beat New Orleans this weekend.
