Tips for Achieving Mindfulness:
Mindfulness is simple, but not easy. It's just paying attention without getting too wrapped up in our reactions.
It can, however, be done anywhere, anytime. You don't have to be on a meditation cushion, away at a spa or retreat, or wait for the "perfect" time.
It only takes a few minutes to get started. Most people are intimidated by commiting to practice for 20, 30, or 60 minutes a day. While helpful, you can get started by spending much less time.
Bring mindfulness to mundane times or details of your life. Be a tourist in your own neighborhood.
Bring mindfulness to difficult times. For example, meditate during your commute on the "L" or bus
