Two bus loads arrived with one mission: to make a difference in the place where students learn. Volunteers grabbed a bucket of paint, a few brushes, and they set off to help Chicago Public School buildings.
This year's 16th annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-Thon brought volunteers to Chavez School on the Southwest Side to Chicago International Charter School on the North Side and 39 additional schools in between.
