Mayor-Elect to meet Twitter impersonator

Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel will present a $5,000 check to his Twitter impersonator, Dan Sinker (@MayorEmanuel), on Wednesday and the two MayorEmanuel-s will finally meet.

The meeting with take place at 5 p.m. on WLS's Roe Conn Show with Richard Roeper.

During an appearance on the Roe Conn Show back on January 15, Emanuel announced he would make a $5,000 personal contribution to the charity of the unknown Twitter author's choice if they would disclose their identity, according to a statement released by WLS-AM.

"Here's what I'm going to do. After the election, I am offering a donation to the charity of that gentleman or woman's choice, if they would come forward and identify themselves," said Emanuel during his appearance.

The charity will be revealed during the check presentation.

Sinker used social media website Twitter to choreograph a satirical narrative surrounding Emanuel's campaign for Chicago mayor.

The assistant journalism professor at Columbia College revealed his identity on Monday, February 28, 2011.

Emanuel's donation will also be match by Causes.com with a $5,000 check to the charity of Sinker's choice.
