10 days. 200 restaurants. One city.

Chicago Restaurant Week is back and bigger than ever, with HUNDREDS of restaurants offering three-course lunches and dinners at a discounted rate ($22 for lunch, $33/$44 for dinner). This gives thousands of diners the opportunity to try restaurants that may normally be out of their price range.

Because I don't have the time, or big enough stomach to visit every restaurant on the list, I choose one I've been meaning to try - Porkchop at 941 W. Randolph. They're offering two entree options - Southern Fried Chicken with smashed redskin potatoes, green beans and a southern style gravy; or a 14oz. Ribeye with rosemary potatoes and a horseradish cream.

We walked through each entree today, you can see them on the WGN News at Five. The video will be posted here afterwards.

The full, searchable list of restaurants participating in Chicago Restaurant Week can be found at ChooseChicago.com - HERE

Chicago Tribune dining critic Phil Vettel gave some of his restaurant week picks. They include Bar Toma, Benny's Chop House, Frontera Grill, Joe's Seafood, The Metropolitan Club, Morton's, Nightwood, and NoMI. Read his full recaps of each HERE.

And Metromix.com has a lengthy guide to get you hungry. Check it out HERE.

Have a must-visit restaurant during the next 10 days? Let me know about it on Facebook or Twitter!
