Columbia University students listen to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech broadcast over loudspeakers. The university was roundly criticized after inviting the controversial leader to speak at the campus before his appearance at the U.N. Ahmadinejad faced sharp criticism from students and the university president, who said he exhibits "all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator" in his introductory remarks.
