Around Mexico City’s Plaza de Belleza, or Beauty Square, shops cater to the myriad needs of both men and women.

In the heart of Mexico City’s historic center sits a plaza dedicated to beauty. Men and women alike come to the “tianguis” and “puestos” to have their nails done, eyebrows waxed, eyelashes curled and any other beauty dream one may have turned in to reality.

Anaritza Najera Perez, 19, talks to customers at her stall. She has been working here for four years and says the customer flow varies. “One the weekend it can be up to five customers a day, but during the week usually only one or two a day.”
