Heinrich Mueller

An undated file photo of Gestapo chief Heinrich Mueller, whose unknown fate after World War II led to rumors that he had survived and escaped to South America with other fugitive Nazis. A German historian is reported to have confirmed through documentary research that Mueller died in the final days of the war and was later buried in the Berlin-Mitte Jewish cemetery.
