In one of the world's poorest countries, former Philippine first lady Imelda Marcos -- of designer shoe-hoarding fame -- has managed to stage a political comeback, as have her son and daughter. The crimes and abuses of her late husband, dictator Ferdinand Marcos, occurred before most Filipinos were born and have been brushed off by the elite clans that still control politics, government and the economy.
