Three-Alarm Fire Consumes Bronx Home, 1 Injured

A three-alarm house fire broke out early Tuesday morning in the Bronx, seriously injuring one person.

The fire began at 1:36 a.m. at a two-story frame house located at 1995 Arthur Avenue in Tremont, according to officials from the FDNY.

The blaze was initially two-alarms, but increased to three-alarms and consumed the second-floor before it was extinguished about an hour later.

One person was seriously hurt as a result of the fire.

Extensive fire and water damage was visible after the flames were quieted. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
