A 3-year-old-girl was found wandering the streets of Brooklyn in the frigid cold early Tuesday morning, and now her babysitter is in custody.
Police say a passing taxi driver found the child near the corner of Rogers and Clarendon Avenues in Midwood at about 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.
With temperatures below-freezing, the girl was described as just wearing pink pajamas and a black coat. The taxi driver called 911 and officers brought the child to the 67th Precinct.
By 5 a.m., cops located the girl's babysitter and took her into custody for questioning.
The child was put into the care of the Administration for Children's Services. It wasn't immediately clear if authorities had any luck in reaching out to the child's guardian.
The child, who was not identified, was reportedly in good condition.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
