NEW YORK, N.Y. (WPIX) -- New details are emerging surrounding the gruesome murders of Nova Henry, the ex-girlfriend of Knicks center Eddy Curry, and her infant daughter. The bullet-ridden bodies of Henry, 24, and 9-month-old Ava were discovered by relatives Saturday night in their Chicago apartment, police say.

Family members say they found 3-year-old Noah Curry walking around in his mother's blood, leaving footprints all around the house. He's now in the care of his maternal grandmother.

Chicago cops say neighbors heard loud noises coming from the apartment that afternoon. Police are looking for a "known acquaintance" of Henry's. They also confirmed the victim had a restraining order put out on a man who was described as an abusive ex-boyfriend.

Curry was told of the killings on Saturday night. Today Knicks president Donnie Walsh told Curry to "take the time he needs to deal with the tragedy". Prior reports say he hasn't decided yet whether to travel to Chicago to be with his son.

It's not been a good month for Curry. Two weeks ago, he was sued by his limo driver who accused him of making sexual advances and pointing a gun at him. Curry has denied those allegations.

Curry met Henry in high school in Chicago and years later they had Noah. Curry supported the boy, but reports say Henry believed he was also the father of Ava as well.

Curry has five other children, four with his current wife, Patrice.
