A man busted in a Manhattan drug sting reportedly stashed heroin in his baby daughter's stroller and diaper bag during an apparent sale, cops announced Wednesday.
According to authorities, the suspect was one of three arrested and charged in an ongoing investigation of drug trafficking and gang violence at a housing project in Chelsea.
The men, who weren't immediately identified, were charged with selling heroin, cocaine, crack, prescription painkillers and two firearms during a half dozen meetings with undercover detectives, police said. The sales happened within recent months.
At one sale, a suspect allegedly brought his infant daughter where he used her stroller and diaper bag as decoys to stash heroin in order to avoid detection. It wasn't immediately clear if the man will face child endangerment charges.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
