Three firefighters involved in a Brooklyn bar brawl are expected to surrender to authorities Thursday morning, PIX News has learned.
The firefighters are slated to go before a judge Thursday in Brooklyn Criminal court to face assault charges for their roles in the Jan. 28 fight at the Salty Dog bar located in Bay Ridge.
The three men -- who were among dozens of current and retired firefighters of Engine 310, Ladder 174. -- were spotted on surveillance tape throwing punches. The fight apparently came to a head when a customer accidentally spilled a drink on one of them.
Four bar patrons were injured in the mele.
Police say an investigation into the incident is ongoing and more charges are possible.
Mayor Bloomberg said if its proven the firefighters acted inappropriately, swift action will be taken.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
