Five Firefighters Injured Battling Brooklyn Fire

Five New York City firefighters were injured battling a two-alarm blaze in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn Thursday morning.

According to fire officials, the blaze broke out at 4:30 a.m. on the second floor at 192 Concord Street.

The injured firefighters were transported to Weill-Cornell Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, FDNY officials told PIX News.

Of the injured firefighters, 2 suffered serious injuries after falling from a banister that gave way, and 3 others suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
