Omni Hotels Offer Get-Fit Kits For Guests Who Want A Healthy Stay

Travelers know it can be hard to stick to their usual healthy diet and fitness routines on the road. But many hotels here in New York City are aiming to make it much easier for you.

Omni hotels across the United States offer their guests a free Get-Fit Kit to help customers keep track of their exercise routines. The Get-Fit Kit comes with a yoga mat, some bands and free weights – all inside of a portable duffle bag that you can take anywhere, as long as you're a guest of Omni Hotel.

While many hotels keep their fitness doors open only until a certain time, Omni hotel's gym is available twenty-four hours a day.

It doesn't just stop at fitness, the hotel also revamped its breakfast menu – offering carb-free and gluten-free options for their guests.

With more than 1/3 of all U.S adults being obese, other hotels have also jumped on board when it comes to going healthy.

The Hyatt Hotel chain recently joined forces with the Partnership for a Healthier America where they started a new kids menu called "For Kids By Kids".The menu offers low fat and all natural options including organic fruits and yogurt, natural beef and whole wheat pasta.

Holiday Inn's parent company Intercontinental Hotels Group (ING) is set to open a chain of hotels by next year.

They'll offer exercise equipment right in the room, hyper-allergenic linens and healthier food options. It's only a matter of time before other big name hotels jump on board giving their guests and much healthier stay.
