Jeff Halevy is a Behavioral Health and Fitness Expert and the CEO of Halevy Life, an integrative health and fitness company in New York. Halevy’s mission is to create life-long healthy change, both internally and externally, in his clients and the public at large. As a result of his mission’s success, Halevy has been hailed as a “fitness guru” and “star fitness and nutrition expert” by leading local and national media, and most notably was chosen to create a healthy lifestyle program for Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign by co-chair and Newark Mayor, Cory Booker.
In addition to helping his high-profile clientele achieve their ideal physical shape, Jeff has counseled people with emotional issues ranging from anorexia and depression to substance abuse and anxiety disorders using unique methods of Neuro Linguistic Programming and Ericksonian Hypnosis. Jeff’s distinctive expertise has lead to segments on CBS and ABC as well as stories in Forbes, Men’s Health and SELF. Jeff has also had the honor of consulting on congressional campaigns, keynoting international health and wellness conferences and working closely with brands like adidas and vitaminwater.
Jeff’s journey began with adversity and before he embarked on his path of championing health and fitness, he faced a series of physical and emotional obstacles. At the age of 13, he was diagnosed with a pear-sized tumor that nearly took his life. Fortunately, Halevy survived the tumor but soon after began struggling with emotional demons stemming from the trauma of his nearly fatal ordeal. A few years later, Halevy was thrown out of high school, battled depression and began self-medicating in an attempt to make himself feel better, which lead to time spent in and out of rehab. Once he recognized that change was not an option, but a necessity, Halevy was able to break the cycle of his negative beliefs and behaviors.
Halevy reorganized his priorities and eventually graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a Founder’s Day Scholar from New York University. With a new lease on life and confidence in what the future would hold, Jeff realized he wanted to help others do the same. Shortly thereafter, he earned his Behavioral Health credentials in Neuro Linguistic Programming and Ericksonian Hypnosis at The NLP Center of New York and his Exercise Science credentials from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the C.H.E.K. Institute. From there, Halevy served as the Managing Director of Sitaras Fitness, which ultimately led to the founding of Halevy Life.
Recently, Halevy has focused his efforts on childhood obesity. He was selected to join Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign by Let’s Move! Co-chair and Newark Mayor, Cory Booker. As an extension of the First Lady’s initiative, Jeff has created Let’s Move! Newark: Our Power (LM!NOP), a cutting edge program utilizing wearable health technology that motivates Newark students to improve their physical activity in the fight against childhood obesity.
Jeff Halevy lives by and teaches the notion that “tomorrow becomes never;” if change is going to happen, it has to happen now. He strives to improve the quality of people’s lives and continues to do so every single day. For more information on Jeff Halevy please visit jeffhalevy.com.
