Jets linebackers Bart Scott and Jason Taylor teamed up with the Food Bank For New York City, unloading more than 100 turkeys for the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays. They also served breakfast to Food Bank guests.

The players unloaded the turkeys and fixings from a 54-foot trailer at the Food Bank's Community Kitchen in West Harlem, NY. In addition the MetLife Foundation presented the Food Bank with a check for $75,000. One in five New Yorkers use the Food Bank of New York City's programs, including one in five children. Since 2003, there has been a 60% increase in the number of people and services reporting having difficulties affording food.

Scott, a native of Detroit, Michigan, insists he is conscious of the struggles and makes time for this and other events. This is his second year at this event. He tells PIX 11 since the Jets are 7-2 this season, they didn't get any "boos".
