Director John Singleton stopped by to talk about his new movie "Abduction," which stars actress Maria Bello (who was also at PIX11's studio) and teen hearthrob Taylor Lautner. The movie hits theaters tomorow.
"Abduction" is an action thriller about a teenager who finds out his parents aren't really his parents, and leaves him running for his life and identity. This is Singleton's first film he's directed since "Four Brothers" in 2005. In addition to talking about working with young actors Lautner and Collins, he can talk about why he choose this film to direct after a six year break.
Singleton made his film debut with "Boyz In The Hood." He received Academy Award nods for Best Screenplay and Director. At age 24, he was the youngest person ever nominated for Best Director, and the first African-American to be nominated for the award. Other films include "Poetic Justice," "Shaft" and "Hustle and Flow."
