Though the roster doesn't become official until 3:00 Sunday, the Mets have trimmed their team to the required 25 players. Sean Green was the last pitcher to make the team while popular catcher Omir Santos was sent to Triple-A Buffalo.
Green was shaky in his final spring training appearance Saturday, allowing four runs in only two and two-thirds of an inning. He allowed a home run.
Joining Green in the bullpen are closer Francisco Rodriguez, Pedro Feliciano, Fernando Nieve, Japanese imports Ryota Igarashi and Hisanori Takahashi and phenom Jenrry Mejia.
Santos, who was the Mets' backup catcher last season, lost his job to Henry Blanco. Blanco will backup Rod Barajas.
Also making the team are utility man Frank Catalanotto and infielder Ruben Tejada.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
