1 Killed, 2 Wounded In Gruesome Shooting In Brooklyn

One person was killed and two others were wounded Sunday night in a brutal shooting in Brooklyn.

According to authorities, the shooting unraveled in an apartment in the Crown Heights section at around 10:50 pm.

The one fatality has been identified as 23-year-old Verdell Walker, who was shot in the chest. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A 22-year-old woman also suffered a gun shot wound to the chest and remains in critical condition Monday. Another 20-year-old man was shot several times, and is listed in stable condition. All the victims were transported to Kings County.

The New York Daily News reports, Walker had a lengthy criminal record which included arrests for drugs, robbery, trespassing and weapons possession.

Responding officers reportedly uncovered drugs at the scene of the shooting.

Investigators are still searching for possible suspects. No arrests were made.
