A 13-year-old boy from Queens was fatally shot Friday afternoon while walking home from school.

Kevin Miller was shot once in the head, and died at the hospital a short time later. Cops also say a 17-year-old innocent bystander was shot in the thigh during the same incident. He's listed in stable condition.

Witnesses say gunfire broke when a group of school kids started fighting. It happened around 3:15 pm outside a car wash on the corner of Springfield and Linden Boulevards.

Police are now searching for suspects, and are trying to determine whether the boy was a bystander or a target. Anyone with information is urged to 1-577-TIPS.
