Haven Spa is conveniently located in Soho on Mercer Street amid quaint restaurants, endless shopping and several subway stops. My girlfriends and I decided to test out several of the spas services to see if we felt that they made the grade. We are ecstatic to report that Haven not only met, but exceeded our expectations for excellence.
The first point we must make about Haven is that the spa truly lives up to its name. It is the perfect combination of pampering and relaxation that those of us that must daily navigate the hectic pace of New York City.
Haven is a top spot for both tourists and New Yorkers alike. We had a spa pedicure to refresh our tired feet after a morning of shopping along with a facial. The esthetician who performed the facial was gentle as well as informative. We couldn’t help but purchase the moisturizer she recommended as our face was almost glowing and felt blissfully smooth.
We also had a reflexology and stone massage in which the therapist used stones and carefully selected pressure points to massage us into ultimate sereneness.
The crème de la crème during our visit to Haven was the hour long massage we received from Vlad, whom we have dubbed as “the god of all massage.” We have all had amazing massages and let’s face it, most massages feel pretty good but Vlad takes you into the stratosphere. Vlad himself says it best, “When you get a massage, it is supposed to feel good. Otherwise, what’s the point?” We agree and made sure to book a follow up appointment.
You most definitely do not want to miss out on the bliss that is Haven. We even recommended that they change their name to Heaven – that is where we felt like we were anyway.
