Suspect Surrenders In Shooting Of Two Children

A suspect has surrendered in a shooting that left two young children in the hospital.

Luis Moore, 23, turned himself in to police Tuesday, admitting he was responsible for shooting into a crowd of children in the West Farms section of the Bronx. On Monday night an armed man fired wildly, hitting a 2-year-old, Patience Boyd, in the head; and a 5-year-old girl in the neck as they were playing outside of East 181st St., police said. Another man, 20, was hit in the back -- police believe he was the intended target.

Moore surrendered late in the afternoon Tuesday after police spent the day canvassing the neighborhood and posting fliers looking for information.

Charges are currently pending.
