An 18-month-old boy is in serious condition after plummeting 13-feet onto the concrete outside his family's home in Queens.
According to authorities, the child managed to make his way onto a second-story patio at the Sunnyside section home Thursday. Officials believe he slid through a partially open-screen door.
The toddler than reportedly climbed a 3-foot iron guard rail and fell down 13-feet onto the stoop.
The boy, who landed on his head, was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he remained in serious condition Friday.
No criminality is suspected at this time. The child's mother was home at the time of the incident.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
