Two Alarm Fire Destroys Row Of Stores In The Bronx

A row of stores caught fire early Wednesday morning in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.

The two alarm blaze was called in at 1 a.m. At 4811 White Plains Road, the FDNY reported.

Firefighters battled the fire racing through a one story row of shops. A laundromat and hardware store were destroyed, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
