York County Police Urge Tower Prankster to See Doc

Police in central Pennsylvania say a pranksterwho climbed a radio tower needs to see a doctor right away.

Springettsbury Township police Lt. Scott Laird says someoneclimbed the tower between Nov. 28 and Nov. 30 and tied a maroonbedsheet to the antenna on top.

But Laird says the tower emits high doses of radiofrequencyenergy that could adversely affect the climber's health.

Citadel Broadcasting owns the tower. The company told police theclimber could face "serious medical issues" in the near futurebecause of exposure to radiofrequency, which is a heavy dose of atype of radiation.
