Very Dry Air Raises Wildfire Concerns for Central PA

Schuylkill County

The very dry air is causing the relative humidity to drop to extremely low levels (falling below 35%). The lack of rain, dry air, and gusty winds, prompted the National Weather Service to issue RED FLAG WARNINGS Monday. The potential continues for the development of rapid spread, uncontrolled fires...or even for prescribed burns to get out of control. Burning is not recommended at this time.

This Red Flag Warning excludes Mifflin, Snyder, Juniata, Northumberland, and Schuylkill County.
