His lineup was strong. He had the Guanabana Ale, a Cigar City collaboration; the Tootsie Roll brown ale, good even for Tootsie Roll haters like me; the Coconut Hefeweizen, executed more deftly than other coconut beers in the area; and his Belgian pale ale. That was my favorite. The smell of Belgian yeast is incomparably pleasant on its own, but Wakefield's hop levels exacerbated the aroma and left room to taste notes of sweet fruit.
