April 10, 2009 Monroe County deputy almost shoots teen over gun-shaped belt buckle Stock Island, Fl - A 17-year-old boy with a belt buckle that resembled a gun was almost shot by a Monroe County Sheriff's Office detective, authorities said today. Deputies found the teen about 10 a.m. Tuesday in a car believed to be involved in a kidnapping, and a detective ordered him to put his hands up when he got out and they saw the belt buckle. The buckle looked like a .25 caliber Beretta stuck into his waistband, sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said. Click here for the whole story
