James Caan: not just a wiseguy

The actor - known for his work in films "The Godfather", "Brian's Song" and "Funny Girl" - received the Lifetime Achievement Award at FLIFF's opening night gala. He joked onstage that he'd prefer a "mid-life" achievement award, because a lifetime acheivement award makes him "sound old". Caan, 72, said film festivals similar to FLIFF have become "major outlets for young, creative filmmakers." Adding, "It's the only place where they can show their work."
