2 Beaches Closed By Bacteria

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut environmental officials haveshut down two state park swimming areas because of high bacterialevels.

A spokesman for the Department of Environmental Protection saystests at Wharton Brook State Park in Wallingford and KettletownState Park in Southbury turned up elevated levels of bacteria.The swimming areas were closed Wednesday and more testing wasscheduled for Thursday.
