BERLIN, Conn. (AP) - Two Connecticut utilities have set up special sessions for customers who may be having problems paying gas and electric bills.
Connecticut Light & Power and Yankee Gas are holding what they call Utility Days throughout the state.
Customers can meet with representatives of the two utilities, divisions of Northeast Utilities, for two days this weeks.
Tuesday the utilities will be set up from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Community Renewal Team in Hartford. A similar session will be held on Thursday in Waterbury.
Among the options being offered is the chance for customers to find out if they are eligible for the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund's free weatherization program.
The program helps provides information on repairing leaks and drafts and providing energy-efficient lighting to cut energy costs.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
