Ed Sheeran: Today's accidental music discovery

I'd like to take this moment to personally thank Rupert Grint for exposing my ears to what is surely to be come my jam of the month: Ed Sheeran's "Lego House."

You might remember Rupert from that time he played Harry Potter's best friend Ron Weasley in all those movies. Topday upon seeing a Jezebel story about how he'd appeared in a music video, I obviously clicked on it faster than an overactive child tears into presents on his birthday. Note: I am in no way experiencing Harry Potter withdrawl (sarcasm), nor do I have any kind of giant crush on Rupert Grint (lying). (It's OK now because he's an adult now!)

Turns out Rupert had starred in the video for his friend Ed Sheeran's song. I wasn't expecting to even care about the song at all, let alone like it, but man is it good. Sheeran's one of those dudes with a guitar, a nimble voice and an excellent grasp on the pop song. It's exactly the kind of thing I love to sing along to in my car. Repeatedly. With gusto.

Anyway, the video is pretty cool. Rupert hangs around the halls of a venue full of screaming fans, spends some time on a swanky tour bus and lip synchs the song's words into the abyss, giving off the impression that he's some kind of pop star. But there's a twist! Just watch it already. Sheesh.

P.S., does anyone else think Rupert looks like Jimmi Simpson? No? Just me? That's cool.
