INDIANAPOLIS - The absent Colts coach is trying to do what the signs in the end zones at Lucas Oil Stadium are asking of fans: To be ChuckStrong.

As Chuck Pagano begins his treatment for Leukemia in Indianapolis this week the coach is receiving support and trying to give it back to his team as they face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Pagano reached out to the team in an email, excerpts of which were obtained by NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport.

Pagano wrote this to the team, per Rapaport: "WE WILL, WE CAN, WE MUST. WE HAVE NO CHOICE. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. WE WILL OVERCOME."

"IT'S ALL IN THE PROPER STATE OF MIND."

The website also posted a message from Pagano to the fans in which he said, per Rapaport: "All the cards, gifts, emails, success stories and prayers that we have been showered with give us a tremendous amount of peace and strength."

All of the players are tying to keep Pagano at the top of theirs as they face off this afternoon. Both teams worse shirts that said "We are CHUCKSTRONG" and featured an orange ribbon.

General Manager Ryan Grigson was on the sidelines sporting a orange ribbon pin with Pagano's initials along with an orange sticker that read "CP."

Banners in the back of each endzone that once read "ColtsStrong" now read "ChuckStrong" and like the shirts also feature an orange ribbon.
