ANDERSON - They are used to meeting a week later, but the battle of Hamilton County will have to happen in the semi-finals in 2012.

Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern won the opening games in their Class 5A Sectional 4 games on Friday night to advance to the second round, where the two teams will meet on the Royals' home field next Friday.

The Tigers got the job done on the road at Anderson, beating the Indians 27-14 while Hamilton Southeastern beat Lafayette Jeff 42-23.

Rick Wimmer's team jumped out quickly on a drizzly night at Anderson as they led 21-0 at the half. They would add more in the third when Brad Burton hit J-Shun Harris for the 35 yard touchdown. A blocked extra point left the score at 27-0.

Anderson would make a rally in the final quarter grabbing a pair of touchdowns but the lead Fishers built held on for the victory to set up the game at Hamilton Southeastern.

The Royals won the meeting between the two earlier in the season as they beat the Tigers 28-21 on August 24th.
