Fort Wayne storm damage costs to exceed $10M

Indiana Michigan Power Company

Storms swept through Central Indiana last week, damaging many communities.

Indiana Michigan Power announced Thursday that it could cost more than $12 million to fix the damage in Fort Wayne alone. That is more than the ice storm that hit the city in 2008.

The final tally won't be released for several weeks, but economists said money that would have been spent on restaurants and movie theaters will now go to storm repairs.
