Pacers fans are reacting to the firing of head coach Jim O’Brien. At Buffalo Wild Wings just a block away from the Conseco Fieldhouse, fans we spoke with simply say a change was needed. The Pacers have lost seven of their last 10 games and the losses have hurt attendance.
Even though Frank Vogel has only been named the interim head coach, many fans we spoke with hope this change in leadership will help bring new life to the team.
"I think change is good. It gets frustrating as a fan to watch inconsistencies. We can't get a good lineup together and I understand you have to put people together to see who works well-- who has chemistry, but after a half a year it's getting frustrating," said season ticket holder, Sarah Svihliak.
"They had to do what they had to do. If they didn't, then fans would be upset due to the fact that the team is not winning," said fan Deandre Malcolm.
Interim Head Coach Frank Vogel says he'll exhaust all of their resources to get the program turned around. Vogel makes his debut tonight at Conseco against Toronto.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
