The Indianapolis Colts have officially announced their pick in Thursday’s 2012 NFL Draft.

Tuesday, Colts general manager Ryan Grigson confirmed the team will draft Stanford quarterback
Andrew Luck.

Grigson stated he wanted to be fair to Luck during the media gauntlet this week, stating “It’s all about Andrew.”

Head coach Chuck Pagano spoke about how glad he was to have Luck as his quarterback for years to come.

Last week, Fox59 reported the Colts told Luck they would select him as their first pick.  Sources said the Colts knew for weeks they wanted to rebuild their team around Luck.

The Colts sent representatives to Palo Alto, Calif. for Luck's Stanford Pro Day on March 22 and flew back out to California for a private workout. The Colts also spent time with Luck in Indianapolis.

The 2012 NFL Draft begins at 8 p.m. Thursday in New York City. The Colts are expected to bring Luck to Indianapolis for an official introduction to the fans and media on Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
