The property where the Little Nashville Opry once sat is up for sale.

The Opry was destroyed by an arson fire in 2009, and the four acres of land it was on will be up for auction on April 17. The venue’s former manager, 75-year-old James Bowyer, was charged with arson in connection with the fire.

The starting bid for the property is set at $57,000.

Tanya Tucker and Johnny Cash both performed at the Little Nashville Opry.

Some residents have their fingers crossed that the new owner might build another music hall.

Other Brown County residents hope that performers return to town so that tourists will spend money at the town's hotels, restaurants and shops.
