"Big Daddy" star Adam Sandler will get to put his movie experience into practice.
The actor and his wife Jackie, welcomed their first child, which People magazine reports to be a daughter.
Sandler's publicist wouldn't confirm any details, merely referring all inquiries to a poorly detailed posting on the actor's website entitled "Sandler had a kid!!" that reads: "Kid is healthy!! Wife is healthy!! He's still a moron, and that's all that counts!!! - 05/07/06."
Sandler, 39, and Jackie, 31, married in June 2003 in Malibu.
Jackie, nee Jacqueline Titone, is a former model and broke into films with Rob Schneider's comedy "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo." He introduced her to Sandler, who had her appear opposite him as a waitress in "Big Daddy" in 1999 and an angel in "Little Nicky" a year later. She starred as the voice of Jenna in Sandler's "Eight Crazy Nights" and also appeared in "Duplex" and "50 First Dates."
Sandler last starred in the "Longest Yard" remake and recently produced "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo," "Grandma's Boy," and "The Benchwarmers." His next comedy "Click," in which he stars as a man whose life is taken over by a universal remote control, will hit theaters on Friday, June 23.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
