Jason Bateman is going behind the camera to make his pilot directing debut on a FOX comedy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Arrested Development" star will shoot the first installment of the multi-camera comedy "The Inn," from 20th Century Fox TV, Reveille and Principato-Young.

Niecy Nash ("Reno 911") is the only known cast member for "The Inn," which is generally described as an "Upstairs/Downstairs" look at a ritzy New York City hotel.

While Bateman is a newcomer when it comes to pilot directing, he's a behind-the-camera veteran of multiple sitcoms including "For Your Love," "Family Matters" and, of course, "Arrested Development."

In front of the camera, Bateman was most recently seen in "The Kingdom," "Juno" and "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium." He has "Hancock" and "State of Play" upcoming.
