"Premonition" star Sandra Bullock didn't see this one coming.
A woman obsessed with the actress tried to kill Bullock's husband, "Monster Garage" host Jesse James, late Sunday (April 22) night at the couple's Orange County home by trying to run over him with her car, TMZ.com first reported.
"On several occasions before this incident [Bullock and James] found [Marcia Valentine] lying in front of their garage door. On [the morning of] Sunday, April 22 around 10:30 a.m., Jesse James went out and asked her to leave," Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino tells Usmagazine.com. "She yelled some obscenities at James, who did not have a cell phone in his hand. When she saw that he did not have a phone, she went to her car. She threw the car in reverse in his direction. He attempted to move out of the way and she kept moving the vehicle. She attempted to run him over three or four times."
Bullock and James' 10-year-old son, Jesse Jr., witnessed the attack.
Although Valentine fled the scene, she was later picked up based on James' description of her and her car.
"We searched the area at the time of the incident, but did not locate her. The next morning, we searched the area and spotted her car," says Amormino. "We pulled the vehicle over and called James, who then did an in-field lineup where he positively identified her. The case was sent over to the Orange County District Attorney's office where Marcia Valentine might be facing other charges besides assault with a deadly weapon."
Valentine made the $25,000 bail and she's due in court on May 22.
Bullock's most recent film credits include "Crash," "Miss Congeniality 2," "The Lake House," "Infamous" and "Premonition." She next plans to produce and star in "All About Steve," slated to begin shooting this summer.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
