'Chuck and Larry' Cast Adds Steve and Dan

Steve Buscemi and Dan Aykroyd have been added to the cast of the Adam Sandler comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry."

Sandler and Kevin James play heterosexual firefighters who embrace gay marriage in order to snag domestic partnership benefits. Jessica Biel was previously cast in the project as an attorney who helps the titular leads.

According to the industry trade papers, Buscemi will play a city official determined to expose Chuck and Larry's fraud. Aykroyd will play the fire department's captain.

The Universal comedy is set to begin production at the end of the month with Dennis Dugan ("The Benchwarmers") at the helm. Dugan stepped in after David Dobkin ("The Wedding Crashers") exited the vehicle. Then again, the various parts of Larry and Chuck have been linked to the likes of Will Smith, Nicolas Cages, James Gandolfini, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson before this latest incarnation.

Both Buscemi and Aykroyd are veterans of the Sandler assembly line.

Aykroyd appeared in the Sandler-centric "50 First Dates," while Sandler did supporting duty in the Aykroyd-centric "Coneheads" movie.

Buscemi co-starred with Sandler in "Airheads" and has subsequently appeared in "Billy Madison," "Mr. Deeds," "Big Daddy" and "The Wedding Singer."
