Cary Elwes, who was part of "Saw's" bloody fun and games, will join another disturbing thriller.
The 44-year-old actor is set to appear in director-producer Andrew Shortell's "Psych 9." According to Variety, the horror mystery will be co-produced by Intl. Production Co. -- which helped bring the ultraviolent "Hostel" to the screen -- and Green Card Pictures.
The story centers on an unstable woman who gets hired to organize the patient records at a recently closed hospital. With many late nights alone in the building, creepy things are bound to happen. Sure enough, she experiences certain disturbing events that might be connected to a string of bloody murders.
Elwes joins Sara Foster, Gabriel Mann and Michael Biehn in the film, which will wrap shooting in Prague, Czech Republic by the end of the year.
Elwes is best known as Westley/the Dread Pirate Roberts in "The Princess Bride." His other credits include "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," "Twister," "Liar Liar," "Shadow of the Vampire," "Saw," "Ella Enchanted" and the upcoming Garry Marshall-directed "Georgia Rule," playing a man who molests his stepdaughter, played by Lindsay Lohan.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
