Katie Cassidy has landed one of the lead roles in CBS' steadily recasting midseason horror-drama "Harper's Island."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cassidy will play the bride whose destination wedding off the coast of Seattle sets off a rash of slasher murders. The role was played by Samantha Noble in the original presentation.
Cassidy will be paired with Christopher Gorham, who was previously added to the overhauled cast as the groom.
Most recently seen as Ruby on "Supernatural," Cassidy's credits include "Black Christmas" and "Click."
In other CBS recasting news, Ed Begley Jr. has joined the cast of the comedy "Gary Unmarried," playing the marriage therapist engaged to the title character's (Jay Mohr) ex-wife (Paula Marshall). Larry Miller played the part in the first pilot.
Begley was nominated for six Emmys for his work on "St. Elsewhere." Last spotted in the HBO telefilm "Recount," he has a supporting role in the upcoming big screen comedy "Pineapple Express."
