Chris O'Donnell is enjoying a career resurgence just in time since his family is expanding yet again.
The actor, who stars in the upcoming TNT miniseries "The Company," announced in a Wednesday (Aug. 1) interview on "Today" that he and his wife are expecting another child.
"Yeah, we're just starting to figure out how it works," said O'Donnell. "I think I know why this is happening, but we're really excited about it."
O'Donnell, 37, and his wife Caroline Fentreses, 35, have four other children: Lilly Ann, 7, Chistopher "Chip" Eugene, 6, Charles "Charlie" McHugh, 4, and Finley, 16 months.
The actor and Fentress, an elementary school teacher, met in college when he was her brother's roommate. They later married in 1997.
O'Donnell's film resume includes "School Ties," "Circle of Friends," "Batman Forever," "Batman & Robin" and "Vertical Limit." He just wrapped filming on "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery," based on the American Girl books and line of dolls.
In his latest project, he stars as Jack McCauliffe, a Yale grad recruited into the CIA in 1954, in "The Company," a miniseries based on Robert Littell's history of the CIA through the Cold War. The six-hour series, which also star Alfred Molina and Michael Keaton, premieres on Sunday, Aug. 5 and will run for three straight Sundays.
